Mark is an accomplished and gifted Pianist, Organist and Keyboard Player, with years of experience at every level in the business. Trained in Classical and Contemporary musical styles, from his early teens.
He began playing the piano at the age of 6 and was working as a professional musician 10 years later. He studied the Organ in Bristol with renowned organist Garth Benson at St Mary Redcliffe Church, where he learned his skills as a church organist. He also studied the piano to grade 8 during this time and then moved to Cheltenham to study music at St Pauls College, where he held the post of college organist for 2 years.
As a Pianist, Organist and Keyboard Player, Mark is now a leading Wedding and Event musician performing all over the UK, playing in churches and civic venues for Wedding Ceremonies and Breakfasts.
He plays for all types of events, Drinks Receptions, Summer and Christmas Balls, Birthday and Anniversary parties etc. All styles of music are covered, from Classical to Jazz, Bollywood, Pop and Rock. Regular wedding venues include Hengrave Hall, Bury St Edmunds, Island Hall, Godmanchester and Anstey Hall, Cambridge. He is honoured to be the preferred supplier for weddings and events at Westminster College Cambridge, and New Walk Museum in Leicester - specialising in playing Bollywood Love Themes.
He has also performed regularly in London restaurants and hotels, including the 'Belvedere Restaurant' in Holland Park, Notting Hill, and Browns Hotel in Mayfair playing piano for afternoon tea in their magnificent English Tea Rooms.
Mark also plays piano and keyboards for musical productions in the theatre. He is proud to be working with leading Neil Diamond Tribute artiste Fisher Stevens, as his Musical Director and keyboard player for ‘A Beautiful Noise’ touring theatres across the UK. The show was a regular visitor to the Lyric Theatre in London’s West End where it received rave reviews.
As well as being a traditional wedding organist, Mark offers the option of taking his portable digital classical organ and piano into church to enhance or replace the resident organ. This valuable option is often used in small village churches where the organ is not suitable for playing the requested music, or no servicable organ is available. This means that any requested music, in any style, can be performed in any church or civic venue - bringing a fantastic cathedral organ sound to your wedding ceremony in grand style. Please check out the reviews as a testament to this option.
My husband and I are so fortunate to have had Mark be our pianist. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgable and flexible. He has a broad repertoire of music and was able to play all the songs we requested for our church ceremony without any issues. In addition, he was able to keep our guests hugely entertained whilst playing at our reception drinks. Would highly recommend him.

Mark was amazing, we contacted him with only a few weeks to go, and gave him a bunch of requests for him to play organ and piano solo plus accompanying cello. He had to practice some pieces he’d not come across before, and he totally delivered. He was a wealth of advice of what would work, but equally he listened to what we wanted and went out of his way to make sure we got the music that worked for us. Very accommodating and very accomplished, very glad to have had him there for our big day and to have made his acquaintance. Wish him all the best of luck in future.

Mark was really great and fantastic to collaborate with. We had been in two minds about getting an organist but most certainly happy that we did! Mark truly was a fabulous addition to our day and I would sincerely recommend him to others. Thanks again!

Mark was fantastic, spent a lot of time in advance of the wedding helping us decide song choices and ordering, right through to the ceremony itself where the music was simply incredible. I’d always dreamed of having an organ in the church and Mark enabled us to achieve exactly that. He played a mix of classic and more modern songs which gave the perfect balance. Mark then stayed and played the piano in our wedding breakfast, this was a fantastic set where lots of guests commented on the wonderful songs he played. Mark was fantastic, a true professional and would highly recommend.
